The Lynn Bears pushed their score all the way to 62 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Meek 66-62. Lynn was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Meek apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Despite the loss, Lynn still got an impressive performance from Braylen Roberts, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. Roberts hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for 15 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Kelly, who scored 17 points.
This is the second loss in a row for Lynn and nudges their season record down to 12-6. As for Meek, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-9.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lynn will take on Curry at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Curry has now lost 14 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 1. As for Meek, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Winston County on January 27th. Winston County is out to stop a six-game streak of losses at home.
