Basketball Recap: Johnson Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Johnson has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. The match between them and the Clark Cougars didn't end well, with the Johnson Jaguars falling 60-44. The Jaguars were probably out for revenge after losing 58-48 to them when the teams met back in January, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Johnson's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Mackenzie Donald, who posted 16 points, and Jera Salters, who put up six points and ten rebounds. The contest was Donald's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Sharde Rose, who had six points.

Johnson's loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 15-8. As for Clark, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-10.

Johnson wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 65-55 win against Brandeis on the 20th. As for Clark, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 52-49 victory against LEE on the 20th.
