The Strath Haven Panthers will challenge the Radnor Raiders at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Strath Haven's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so Radnor's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Strath Haven's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They came out on top against Ridley by a score of 3-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Radnor). They blew past Lower Merion 13-2 two weeks ago. The high-scoring effort was just what the Raiders needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.
Sami Dineen made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. Dineen was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four RBI and two doubles. Those RBI were her first of the season.
In other batting news, Abby Krasowski was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. Another player making a difference was Betsy Ask, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Radnor hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lower Merion struck out seven times.
Strath Haven's win bumped their record up to 10-4. As for Radnor, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-4.
Strath Haven got the 'W' in their previous matchup on April 6th against Radnor by a conclusive 16-3 score. Will the Panthers repeat their success, or do the Raiders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
