After flying high against the Blessed Trinity Titans on Friday, the Alpharetta Raiders came back down to earth. Alpharetta took a 67-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lovett on Saturday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Lovett got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jack Rees out in front who scored ten points along with seven rebounds. The contest was Rees' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kingston Whitty, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Alpharetta has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season. As for Lovett, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Alpharetta and West Forsyth will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. West Forsyth has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 182 points over their last three games. Lovett and Midtown will face off at 6:00 p.m. on December 15th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Midtown is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
