Rome Free Academy got themselves on the board against Proctor on Monday, but Proctor never followed suit. They blew past the Raiders 18-0. Winning may never get old, but the Black Knights sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Madison Safin and Sophia Tosti were major factors while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Safin pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Tosti struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Safin has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. At the plate, Safin went 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI, while Tosti went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those doubles were Tosti's first of the season.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Haylee Bostwick, who went 3-for-4 with two triples, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Kenidee Campbell, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
