Winfield had won eight straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they bumped up to 5-2 to make it nine. They breezed past the Carbon Hill Bulldogs to the tune of 61-13. The Pirates' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Leading Winfield to victory were Kyson Key and Garret Beasley. Key rushed for 81 yards and a pair of TDs on only six carries, while Beasley picked up 58 receiving yards and one score. That's the most receiving yards Beasley has posted since back in August of 2024.
