Marlin's record is now 23-4. As for Hawkins, they moved to 31-3 with that loss, which also ended their 19-game winning streak.
Looking ahead, Marlin will face off against Shelbyville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Shelbyville will roll in looking for their 20th straight victory, something Marlin surely won't give up without a fight. Hawkins does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
