The Kamiak Knights''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Graham-Kapowsin, falling 63-15. Kamiak was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 63-7.
Graham-Kapowsin's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Daveon Superales, who threw for 143 yards and three touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes. Superales has been hot recently, having posted three or more passing touchdowns the last five times he's played. Nikoh Rivers also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Kamiak's loss was their seventh straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their record down to 1-9. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 10-0 Arlington and 10-1 Camas (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 88.1% over those games). As for Graham-Kapowsin, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Kamiak does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Graham-Kapowsin will be playing at home against Richland at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Richland will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings (they are ranked 28th, while Graham-Kapowsin is ranked second).
