Issaquah is 8-2 against Bothell since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Saturday. The Eagles will take on the Cougars at 1:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Issaquah comes in on five and Bothell on eight.
Issaquah is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Skyline 3-2.

Hudson Carvalho was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched seven innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off eight hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season.
Carvalho wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Joe Foss, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI. That's the most hits Foss has posted since back in March.
Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Bothell ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Eastlake, sneaking past 3-2. The game was the first time the Cougars have beaten the Wolves on their field since April 22, 2022.
Like Issaquah, Bothell also got a great game from a two-way player: Blake Skinner. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Skinner was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
In other pitching news, Carson Herrick looked comfortable as he pitched 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
Bothell pushed their record up to 16-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Issaquah, their record now sits at 13-8.
Issaquah took their win against Bothell in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 9-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
