On Tuesday, Durango narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Sunrise Mountain 44-42.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Durango to victory, but perhaps none more so than Amarie Riley, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds. The game was Riley's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Amia McKinney, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and four blocks.
Durango's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-11. As for Sunrise Mountain, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 11-7.
Durango is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Basic at 6:30 p.m. on January 10th. Basic will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Sunrise Mountain won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Del Sol at 6:30 p.m. on January 10th. Del Sol is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
