Grace Christian is 2-7 against the Eagles since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Grace Christian Crusader will look to defend their home court against the Bible Baptist Christian Eagles at 5:00 p.m. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Grace Christian has struggled recently with 12 losses in a row, while the Eagles will arrive with five straight victories.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 79-28, which was the final score in Grace Christian's tilt against the Saints on Tuesday. Grace Christian was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 59-17.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Brandon Fitch, who scored eight points. Another player making a difference was Noah Farnsworth, who scored seven points.
Meanwhile, Bible Baptist Christian scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They came out on top against Promise Prepatory Academy by a score of 82-72. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Bible Baptist Christian's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Trent Hamilton, who scored 25 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hamilton has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Michael Greene, who scored 25 points.
Grace Christian's loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-12. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 22.0 points per game. As for Bible Baptist Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.
Grace Christian was dealt a bruising 68-16 defeat at the hands of the Eagles in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Grace Christian was down 38-8.
