Shore - Central B recap Oct. 16, 2012
Keyport/Hudson Regional was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fourth to second in Shore - Central B. The Raiders vanquished South River 42-28 earlier in the week.
Point Pleasant Beach extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Keansburg, 40-0. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
Shore Regional's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Blue Devils feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Matt Muh has thrown for 418 yards and five touchdowns this season, while Kevin Masica has seven catches for 128 yards. Jack Kelly leads the league in rushing with 319 yards.
A big matchup in Shore - Central B this week will be when the Titans take on Keyport/Hudson Regional. At the moment, Keansburg is in fourth, while Mike Ciccotelli's team is in second.
Point Pleasant Beach moved up to 68 from 133 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. John Wagner's team climbed the ranks as a result of besting Brian Kmak's team 40-0.
