The Leeds Greenwave and the Ramsay Rams squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Leeds Greenwave had to settle for second. Leeds was outmatched by Ramsay on the road and fell 42-7. Leeds' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
Ramsay got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ashton Ashford out in front who rushed for 194 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries. Ashford is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jayden Martin, who rushed for 150 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.
Another reason for the win was Ramsay's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. Leeds' QB won't forget Dy'lan Robinson anytime soon given Robinson sacked him twice.
Leeds' loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Ramsay, they have yet to lose a match at home this season, leaving them with a 10-2 record.
Leeds does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Ramsay will head out on the road to face off against Moody at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Moody is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
