Fans got a thrill when Alex Thomas and Ben Tasker connected against Maynard/Bromfield. The longest such play in Midland Wachusett - D this season, the connection resulted in 68 yards.
West Boylston/Tahanto's Thomas rumbled for the longest rushing play in the league this season in his game against the Tigers last week. Thomas scampered for 60 yards on the play and finished with 169 on the day as his team beat Maynard/Bromfield.
West Boylston/Tahanto's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Thomas threw for 95 and 1 touchdown and Tasker had 68 yards receiving. On the ground Thomas chipped in 169 yards. Bryan Hayes helped West Boylston/Tahanto's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 19 yards.
Thomas was the best running back in the league this week. Teammate Tom McCarthy added to the ground attack by rushing for 72 yards.
David Tinglof's team's Thomas and Hayes led Midland Wachusett - D in both passing and receiving yards. 5-9 quarterback Thomas has thrown for 415 yards this season, while Hayes has 10 catches for 176 yards. Sean Peterson from Harold Ogilvie's team leads the league in rushing with 367 yards.
At the moment, the Tigers are in third, while Lunenburg is in fourth.
Littleton added to the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Narragansett Regional, 40-20. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Tigers.
