Softball Recap: Episcopal School of Jacksonville Victorious

Episcopal School of Jacksonville posted their closest victory since March 5th on Thursday. They came out on top against the West Nassau Warriors by a score of 3-2 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Riley Valent spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on three hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Chelsea Dever was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Applebee, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Episcopal School of Jacksonville's record is now 18-4. As for West Nassau, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-9.

Episcopal School of Jacksonville didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 4-1 loss against Ridgeview on the 22nd. As for West Nassau, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 4-3 victory against University Christian on the 21st.
