Terra Ceia Christian took a 59-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Eastern Christian HomeSchool. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Terra Ceia Christian in their matchups with Eastern Christian HomeSchool: they've now lost five in a row.
Despite the defeat, Terra Ceia Christian saw an underclassman step up: Seth Meijer dropped a double-double on 13 points and 14 rebounds. Meijer has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last ten times he's played. Another player making a difference was Ryan Ange, who scored 11 points.
Terra Ceia Christian's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Eastern Christian HomeSchool, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 13-12 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Terra Ceia Christian will challenge Pamlico Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Eastern Christian HomeSchool, Eastern Christian HomeSchool and New Bern Christian Academy will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. New Bern Christian Academy will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
