The Baker County Bears scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Furlow Charter School as Baker County made off with a 62-36 win. That looming 62-36 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Baker County yet this season.
Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kamari Deriso, who scored eight points along with 17 rebounds and six blocks. Deriso has been hot recently, having posted ten or more rebounds the last seven times he's played. Jaylen Deriso was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Baker County's victory ended a seven-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-3. As for Furlow Charter School, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-16.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Baker County will square off against the Royal Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Furlow Charter School's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Knights at 6:30 p.m. on February 2nd.
