The Floyd Central Jaguars pushed their score all the way to 72 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They had to suffer through a rough  110-72 loss at the hands of Lyon County. Despite running the score up even higher than they did  on Friday (68), Floyd Central still had to take the loss.
 Defeat or not, Floyd Central got some senior leadership from  Ronnie Samons who  scored 22 points and  Braden Moore who  scored 18 points along with six  assists. The  match was  Samons' seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of  Brody Buck, who  scored nine points.
 Floyd Central's loss  ended  a  seven-game streak of wins at home  dating back to last season and  dropped them to 5-2. As for Lyon County, their win was  their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which  pushed their record up to 6-1.
 Floyd Central will take on Harvest Prep in a holiday battle at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday at. Harvest Prep has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 311 points over their last four games. Lyon County will be staying on the road  on Wednesday to face off against Lexington at 12:00  p.m.  on December 20th. Lexington will be coming into the  contest with an undefeated record on the line.
