The Mt. Shasta Bears will head out on the road to face off against the Trinity Wolves at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Trinity took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Mt. Shasta, who comes in off a win.
Mt. Shasta had to endure a 12-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They blew past Willows 34-7 on the road. The high flying offensive effort was a huge turnaround for Mt. Shasta's six-point performance the contest before.
Meanwhile, Trinity's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 48-6 defeat at the hands of Hamilton.
Ty Moodie put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 120 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.1 yards per carry.
Finally capturing their first win of the season, Mt. Shasta advanced to 1-6. Trinity has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.
Mt. Shasta was taken down by Trinity 52-22 in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Thankfully for Mt. Shasta, Daegon Gorre (who rushed for 280 yards and five touchdowns) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
