Marlborough was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Doherty Memorial Highlanders. On the bright side, the six- run effort marked the Panthers' highest-scoring game to date.

Marlborough's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Doherty Memorial, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Marlborough will face off against Fitchburg at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Doherty Memorial, they will head out to face off against Burncoat at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
