The St. Cecilia Academy Scarabs had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. It was close, but they ultimately received the gift of a 39-37 victory from a begrudging Scarabssquad. That's two games straight that they have won by exactly two points.
St. Cecilia Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Alexandra Epstein led the charge by scoring 11 points along with six assists and four steals. Epstein continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Mia Galassini, who scored eight points along with 11 rebounds.
