Scotland is 0-9 against Gregory since February of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Scotland Highlanders are on the road again and plays the Gregory Gorillas at 8:00 p.m. on February 9th. Scotland will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps South Dakota Rankings (they are ranked 149th, while Gregory is ranked 45th).
Last Monday, Scotland was the victim of a rough 77-54 defeat at the hands of Bridgewater/Emery. Scotland has struggled against Bridgewater/Emery recently, as their game on Monday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Gregory stacked a tenth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 61-32 victory over Wagner at home. Winning may never get old, but Gregory sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Cruz Klundt continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, almost dropping a double-double on 23 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Daniel Mitchell was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with six rebounds and three blocks.
Scotland's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Gregory, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season.
Scotland was dealt a bruising 63-30 loss at the hands of Gregory in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Can Scotland avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
