LKY had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Friday. They put the hurt on Assumption Academy with a sharp 12-1 win. The result was nothing new for the Saints, who have now won ten games by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Warren Scyphers, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. What's more, he posted four RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Truman Herald, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run.

LKY was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .355 or higher in five consecutive matchups.

LKY's victory bumped their record up to 18-8. As for Assumption Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. LKY will venture away from home to take on Kentucky Country Day at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Assumption Academy, they will head out to face off against Bluegrass United at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bluehawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.68 runs per game on average), something Assumption Academy will no doubt try to take advantage of.
