The Alva Goldbugs came tearing into Monday's game with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They strolled past Hooker with points to spare, taking the game 49-31. Given Alva's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 37th, while Hooker is ranked 132nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Lakin Gaddy continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 20 points. She hasn't dropped below 15 points for four straight games. Jaycee Kelln was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Alva is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-3 record this season. As for Hooker, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 12-9.
Alva does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Hooker also has no future games currently scheduled.
