Lake Dallas hasn't had much luck against Krum recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Falcons will look to defend their home field against the Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
On Friday, Lake Dallas needed a bit of extra time to put away Panther Creek. They had just enough and edged out the Panthers 6-5. That's two games straight that the Falcons have won by just one run.

Tennley Money tossed a big game, striking out eight batters over eight innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Those eight strikeouts gave her a new career-high.
At the plate, Landry Mancha was incredible, scoring three runs while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Presley Prewitt was another key player, going 1-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, Krum posted their closest victory since February 17th on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Aubrey, sneaking past 7-5.
Addison Martindale made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 13 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 14 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Addyson Zimmerman, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Taylor Fauver, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.
Krum pushed their record up to 20-3 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Lake Dallas, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-6.
Wednesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Lake Dallas hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .388. However, it's not like Krum struggles in that department as they've averaged .347. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Lake Dallas suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Krum when the teams last played back in March. Will the Falcons have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more softball content.
