After two weeks on the road, Mulvane is heading back home. They and Arkansas City go head to head on Friday at 7:00 PM in their first playoff match of the year. Coming off of a win even when the odds were against them, Mulvane have to be feeling especially confident with the MaxPreps state rankings on their side for this one.
Mulvane might be getting used to good results now that the team has five wins in a row. They dodged a bullet last Friday, finishing off Wellington 14-13.
Meanwhile, it was all tied up at halftime, but Arkansas City weren't quite Central's equal in the second half when they met. It was close but no cigar for Arkansas City as they fell 17-20 to Central.
Mulvane's win lifted them to 6-2 while Arkansas City's loss dropped them down to 2-6. We'll find out if Mulvane can add another positive mark to their record or if Arkansas City can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Mulvane's step.
