The Mountain Crest Mustangs will venture away from home to square off against the Deseret Peak Golden Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Mountain Crest has four straight victories, Deseret Peak has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
On Thursday, Mountain Crest made easy work of Stansbury and carried off a 3-0 win.
Mountain Crest walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-20, 20-15.

Mountain Crest's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Jordan Belles, who had 11 digs, and Ella Malm, who had seven digs. Belles is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last five games she's played.
Meanwhile, Deseret Peak came up short against Sky View on Thursday, falling 3-0.
While Deseret Peak was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-13, 25-17.
Deseret Peak's defeat dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Mountain Crest, their win bumped their record up to 15-10.
Everything went Mountain Crest's way against Deseret Peak in their previous meeting back in September, as Mountain Crest made off with a 3-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
