If The Miller Place Panthers were feeling good off their 24-0 takedown of the Mount Sinai Mustangs last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Miller Place was outmatched by Shoreham-Wading River at home and fell 49-10. Miller Place was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Shoreham-Wading River apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2022.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Shoreham-Wading River to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sean Casey, who rushed for 123 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries. Casey was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 64 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Liam Kershis, who rushed for 128 yards and two touchdowns.
Miller Place's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Shoreham-Wading River, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.
Miller Place does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Shoreham-Wading River also has no future games currently scheduled.
