St. Mary lost against the Christian Heritage Sentinels back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. St. Mary's was beaten by Christian Heritage 62-28. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points St. Mary's has scored all season.
Several St. Mary's players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was John Brogan, who scored eight points along with two steals. Brogan has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Hodge, who scored nine points.
St. Mary's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-5. As for Christian Heritage, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
St. Mary's will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Boniface Catholic Classical at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Christian Heritage will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Athens Christian Preparatory Academy at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th.
