The Calvary Baptist Eagles's game last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Briarwood 66-31 on the road. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 37-16.
Leading Calvary Baptist to victory were Tyler Wilson and Max Guisler. Wilson scored 20 points along with six steals, while Guisler scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and six assists. Guisler is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Sam Guisler, who scored five points along with seven rebounds and three blocks.
Calvary Baptist has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-15 record this season. As for Briarwood, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Calvary Baptist will square off against Houston Adventist Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Calvary Baptist is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 53.8 points per game this season. As for Briarwood, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Lifestyle Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
