In what's become a running theme this season, the Overton Wolverines gave their fans yet another huge victory on Friday. They blew past Kingsbury 85-13 at home. Overton's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Overton found their leader in underclassman Kierra Baldwin, who scored 27 points along with nine steals. Baldwin has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times she's played. Nia Smith was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with five assists and five steals.
Overton pushed their record up to 11-2 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.5 points per game. As for Kingsbury, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-8.
Overton will head out on the road to take on Memphis Central at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kingsbury, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Whitehaven at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Whitehaven is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.
