Softball Recap: Roybal Wins Going Away Against Belmont

Roybal's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 19-1 margin over the Belmont Sentinels. The Titans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by six runs or more this season.

Glenda Toc made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Toc was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Natally Sostenes was incredible, firing off three home runs, four runs, and four RBI while going 3-for-3. Kimberly Hernandez was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs, two RBI, and one double.

Roybal lost a few balls and finished the game with four home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.

Roybal's record is now 8-4. As for Belmont, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-9.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Roybal will host Hollywood at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Belmont, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Contreras at 4:00 p.m. The Cobras have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.21 runs per game on average), something the Sentinels will no doubt try to take advantage of.
