The Channel Islands Raiders scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They breezed by Malibu at home to the tune of 85-29. That 56 points margin sets a new team best for Channel Islands this season.
Channel Islands' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rajai Moody, who scored 18 points along with seven assists and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Nazir Ivey, who scored 16 points along with four steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for Channel Islands and bumps their season record up to 7-9. As for Malibu, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Channel Islands will take on Hueneme at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hueneme is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. Malibu won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Valor Academy at 4:30 p.m. on January 10th. Valor Academy is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
