On Tuesday, in a tight matchup that could have gone either way, Wilkes-Barre made off with a 50-49 win over Selinsgrove. That's two games straight that Wilkes-Barre has won by exactly a single point.
Meanwhile, Wallenpaupack Area entered their tilt with Dunmore with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Wallenpaupack Area strolled past Dunmore with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 51-34.
Wilkes-Barre now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Wallenpaupack Area, their win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-0.
Wilkes-Barre came up short against Wallenpaupack Area when the teams last played back in December of 2021, falling 42-37. Can Wilkes-Barre avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
