There's no place like home for the Redeemer Christian Lions, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 73-55 victory over Meadowbrook Academy on Thursday. With that victory, Redeemer Christian brought their scoring average up to 51.6 points per game.
It was another big night for Andrew Parker, who shot 4-for-8 from deep and dropped a double-double on 29 points and ten rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last seven times he's played. Another player making a difference was Beau Suarez, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Despite the loss, Meadowbrook Academy saw an underclassman step up: Zach Ross scored 23 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ross has scored all season. Jonathan Fonseca was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with nine rebounds.
Redeemer Christian's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-9. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.7 points per game. As for Meadowbrook Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.
Coincidentally, Redeemer Christian and Meadowbrook Academy will both be playing Aucilla Christian the next time they take the court. Meadowbrook Academy will head out to face Aucilla Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Redeemer Christian will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
