It was a good run, but the Carson Senators unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 36-27 hit to the loss column at the hands of McQueen. Carson lost against McQueen in their previous head to head back in February, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 54-18 score last time.
Caitlin Hilson was the offensive standout of the match as she scored 9 points along with 16 rebounds and 4 blocks. Isabella Richards was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 5 rebounds.
Carson's defeat dropped their record down to 3-2. As for McQueen, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Carson will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Pershing County at 12:30 p.m. on December 9th. Pershing County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Carson in Nevada (Pershing County is ranked fifth, while Carson is ranked 40th). As for McQueen, they will head out on the road to face off against Reed at 5:15 p.m. on December 14th.
