Central Virginia HomeSchool extended the longest winning streak in Mid-Atlantic Christian this week by beating Virginia Lions, 44-16. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Central Maryland Christian Crusaders made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 11,862 from 12,838. The improvement was the result of 16-7 victory over Fairfax HomeSchool last week.
The Crusaders' dynamic duo of Dalton Will and Eli Crone proved tough for the Kings to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Will threw for 68 yards and one touchdown and Crone had 35 yards receiving. Zach Weaver helped Central Maryland Christian Crusaders' passing attack out by catching three balls for 31 yards.
Chris Bullock was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 78 yards on 13 carries as Central Virginia HomeSchool defeated Fairfax HomeSchool. Isaiah Sharp also contributed to the rushing game with 46 yards on the ground.
Mark Zinnamosca's team's Will and Crone have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Will has thrown for 420 yards this season, while Crone, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has eight catches for 183 yards. Bullock from Dave Hollis's team leads the league in rushing with 524 yards.
Two of the top units in Mid-Atlantic Christian will face off this week when the Disciples take on Maryland Christian. Central Virginia HomeSchool's offense has recorded 180 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while the Saints have permitted only 155 on the year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Disciples take on Maryland Christian. Central Virginia HomeSchool is in first place, while Tony DiPaola's team is in third place.
