Basketball Recap: Chisholm Trail Academy Drops Season-High Score on Highlands

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chisholm Trail Academy). They simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat the Highlands Blazers 84-47. The win was nothing new for Chisholm Trail Academy as they're now sitting on five straight.

Chisholm Trail Academy was led to victory by Max Castro and Jadon Henderson. Castro went 12 of 18 en route to 30 points and seven rebounds, while Henderson dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds. Castro's evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Weaver, who posted eight points and seven boards.

Chisholm Trail Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive boards in four consecutive games.

Chisholm Trail Academy pushed their record up to 11-6 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.0 points per game. As for Highlands, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chisholm Trail Academy won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Burton Adventist Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chisholm Trail Academy is facing Burton Adventist Academy at the right time seeing as Burton Adventist Academy is stuck on a seven-game losing streak. As for Highlands, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Yavneh Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd.
