The Oxford Wolverines and the Notre Dame Catholic Lancers squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but sadly the Oxford Wolverines had to settle for second. They were outmatched by the Lancers at home and fell 35-0. It was the first time this season that Oxford let down their fans at home.
Antwan Davis was his usual excellent self, rushing for 214 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.2 yards per carry for Notre Dame Catholic. Davis hasn't dropped below sixsolo tackles for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryson Razor, who threw for 140 yards and two touchdowns.
Oxford's loss dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Notre Dame Catholic, their win bumped their record up to an identical 9-2.
Oxford does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Notre Dame Catholic is on the road again on Sunday and play against Bloomfield at 12:30 p.m. on December 3rd. Bloomfield is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
