This season hasn't been kind to the Josey Eagles, who are still winless after their fourth match. They were outmatched by Westside on the road and fell 100-30. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Josey in their matchups with Westside: they've now lost eight in a row.
Westside's win on Tuesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dontrell Jackson, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds and five assists. Those seven rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Jarious Adkinson, who scored 17 points along with three steals.
Josey's loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-4. As for Westside, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Josey will be home for the holidays to greet Washington County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Washington County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 33 on Tuesday. Westside will be home for the holidays to greet Thomson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Georgia (Thomson is ranked 49th, while Westside is ranked 21st).
