Redwood has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Golden West Trailblazers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Redwood has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Redwood scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 76-57 victory over Monache. That 19 point margin sets a new team best for Redwood this season.
It was another big night for Cole Gilcrest, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Zander Jensen, who scored 16 points.
Meanwhile, Golden West escaped with a win on Friday against the Panthers by the margin of a single free throw, 48-47. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Golden West.
Redwood pushed their record up to 19-8 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.1 points per game. As for Golden West, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 15-11.
Redwood strolled past the Trailblazers in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 51-35. The rematch might be a little tougher for Redwood since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
