Strath Haven took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They blew past the Interboro Buccaneers 44-7. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 21-0.
This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Landon Barlow and Yousif Ali. Barlow rushed for 89 yards and three TDs on only 12 carries while Ali rushed for 142 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries. Ali really tore up the turf during one magnificent 80-yard run.
Strath Haven was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 354 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Interboro only rushed for 176 rushing yards.
Strath Haven wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 35-0 win against Penncrest on the 28th. As for Interboro, they have also already played their next contest, a 35-7 defeat against Bayard Rustin on the 28th.
