Gardena was sadly handed a loss on Saturday, but Bradley Esquivel did his best to prevent it. Nobody could stop Esquivel as he tossed 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Gardena is 3-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-3 otherwise.

Coming up, Esquivel and Gardena will be playing at home against Banning at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Gardena will be headed into this one with a sizable disadvantage in the rankings (they're ranked 398 places lower in California), but they're not letting that get them down.
