Lawrence County lost a heartbreaker the last time they played West Point, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Tuesday's   game. The Lawrence County Red Devils put the hurt on the West Point Warriors with a sharp  16-2 victory on Tuesday. The Red Devils might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by six  runs or more this season.
 Bella Cross made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run and  allowed only  one  hit over five innings pitched. Cross was also big at the plate,  going a perfect 3-for-3 with one  home run, three  runs,  and three  RBI. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in April of 2024.
 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  LA Norwood, who  went 3-for-4 with one  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs. Those  three  hits gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Tilleigh Allen, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.
 Lawrence County  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .559. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as West Point only posted  an  OBP of  .263.
Lawrence County's win was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 17-6. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for West Point, they now  have a losing record of 4-5.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lawrence County will take on Russellville at 4:30  p.m.  on March 18th. Russellville has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.92  runs per game on average), something Lawrence County will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for West Point, they will be taking part in a tournament against Hayden  at 4:30  p.m.  on Friday. Hayden will roll in looking for their  fifth straight  victory, something West Point surely won't give up without a fight.
