Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for The Pleasant Ridge Rams, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They had to suffer through a rough 48-0 loss at the hands of Nemaha Central. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Pleasant Ridge in their matchups with Nemaha Central: they've now lost eight in a row.
It was another big night for Carter Hajek, who rushed for 98 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, and also threw for 103 yards and two touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes. Hajek is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last nine games he's played. Caleb Strathman was in the mix as well, providing Nemaha Central with two touchdowns.
Pleasant Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Nemaha Central, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Pleasant Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Nemaha Central will be playing in front of their home fans against Riley County at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Riley County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kansas Rankings (they are ranked 77th, while Nemaha Central is ranked 19th).
