The Pea Ridge Blackhawks lost against the Harrison Goblins back in November of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Pea Ridge suffered a tough 42-20 defeat at the hands of Harrison. Pea Ridge has struggled against Harrison recently, as their matchup on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Braden Long was his usual excellent self, rushing for 171 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.1 yards per carry. Long was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 65 yards.
Pea Ridge's loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 5-5. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 7-3 Farmington and 7-3 Alma (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 62.5% over those games). As for Harrison, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.
Pea Ridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Harrison will head out on the road to face off against Lakeside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arkansas (Lakeside is ranked 24th, while Harrison is ranked 34th).
