Even though Edgewood scored an imposing 72 points on Tuesday, Lake Country Lutheran still came out on top. Lake Country Lutheran skirted past Edgewood 74-72. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Lake Country Lutheran has posted yet this season.
It was another big night for Sam Hans, who shot 5-for-11 from long range and dropped a double-double on 30 points and 21 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Leibham, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Milwaukee Lutheran's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a serious blow against Whitnall, falling 77-47. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Milwaukee Lutheran has scored all season.
Lake Country Lutheran pushed their record up to 8-3 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 88.2 points per game. As for Milwaukee Lutheran, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.
Lake Country Lutheran was dealt a bruising 84-31 loss at the hands of Milwaukee Lutheran when the teams last played back in December of 2015. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Lake Country Lutheran was down 49-18.
