The Belton-Honea Path Bears's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They suffered a tough 62-40 loss at the hands of Chapman. Belton-Honea Path lost against Chapman in their previous head to head back in November, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 49-38 score last time.
Krislyn Wilder was her usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with eight steals and seven assists for Chapman. That makes it four consecutive games in which Wilder has scored at least 25% of Chapman's points. Annastyn Smith was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Belton-Honea Path has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Chapman, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Belton-Honea Path will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Liberty at 6:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Chapman will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Spartanburg Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Spartanburg Christian Academy is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
