Basketball Recap: West Bladen Picks Up Eighth Consecutive Victory

West Bladen had already won seven in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.6 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Friday. They put the hurt on the Whiteville Wolfpack with a sharp 80-59 win. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 21 points or more this season.

Jackson Pait was his usual excellent self, putting up 45 points. Those 45 points gave him a new career-high. Tylik McCall was another key player, scoring 15 points.

West Bladen's victory bumped their record up to 15-5. As for Whiteville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-9.
