Assumption Academy were the 40-31 winner over the La Salette Academy Lions when they last played one another back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Assumption Academy took a hard 51-33 fall against La Salette Academy on Saturday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Assumption Academy has scored all season.
La Salette Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Elijah Hall out in front who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Charles Prather, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
Assumption Academy's loss was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-5. As for La Salette Academy, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 10-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Assumption Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Summit Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 22nd. As for La Salette Academy, they will challenge Milford at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Milford is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
